About - Wedding photographers from Cologne

With a deep passion for authenticity and the beauty of spontaneous moments, we have been capturing the diversity of weddings for over 15 years. Married since 2014, we live with our two daughters in Cologne’s vibrant Ehrenfeld district. Our shared journey as a freelance photographer with a degree in audiovisual media and a photo engineer has not only shaped our careers but also brought us together as partners in life and work.

Our wedding reportages celebrate couples who cherish love and life. We believe the true beauty of moments lies in their authenticity, which is why we avoid stiff poses. For us, a meaningful portrait isn’t about the perfect setting or posture but about the emotion it captures. While our photography is timeless, it’s only subtly influenced by trends—we find that many Instagram filters and overly stylized wedding looks from the past decade already feel outdated and contrived.

That’s why we have been developing a reportage style for our wedding reportages for years, using confident colors to convey the warmth and feeling of the situation.

We had Karin as our wedding photographer and can really recommend her 100%!!! The photos have turned out beautifully and are of top quality. Karin has an eye for capturing and holding on to the beautiful moments and is also a very likeable person. We also received a lot of positive feedback from our wedding guests. Thank you very much!

Chocolate Museum Cologne

Tobi Maigut photographed our wedding at the Chocolate Museum in August and we couldn’t have had a better photographer at our side. We hit it off straight away at the preliminary meeting and were not disappointed. His photos are natural, unposed and lively. He responded flexibly to all our wishes and was on hand at every special moment of our wedding. Many, many thanks again, Tobi!

Jesse and Sebastian

Hohenholz Estate, Bedburg

Short version: The two are top, incredibly talented photographers and very, very nice people! We can only recommend them! If we have other photos to take, we will definitely go back to Tobi and Karin!

Now the long review:
Karin and Tobi accompanied our wedding on July 16 at Gut Hohenholz in Bedburg. The two of them took beautiful pictures – I would even say the most beautiful pictures of us that have ever been taken.

Making the appointment in advance was easy, flexible and really nice. During the introductory meeting, Tobi had some super useful tips for our wedding and basically also helped to organize our schedule ;) (THANK YOU again for that ;)).
Shortly before the wedding, we called to clarify all the important details. Here, too, there were some very useful tips – for example, how to throw the bridal bouquet before the first dance. I also thought the explanation on their homepage about the price was great. Because I didn’t realize that before.

At the wedding itself, the two photographers didn’t stand out at all. We only realized afterwards in the photos how close Tobi or Karin were to us sometimes. They were always in the right position at the right time and took really great pictures. Some guests even asked us if Tobi and Karin were friends of ours. We got on really well with them right from the start. The couple shoot wasn’t unpleasant at all either. On the contrary: we should just be who we are – and not pretend! We can also see that in the pictures now, they look totally natural, romantic, intimate and authentic.

When we met them, we told them: “Snapshots are particularly important to us. We wanted those little moments that happen at every wedding and that make the butterflies in your stomach fly again afterwards. And the two of them really managed to capture so many great moments. Now we have the problem that we can’t decide what to put in our album :D because ALL the photos are so great!

So now officially: THANK YOU SO MUCH, Tobi and Karin, FOR ALL THE GREAT PHOTOS!
