Karin & Tobi
Authentic Wedding Stories from Cologne
Hi, we’re Karin and Tobi. For over 15 years, we’ve been capturing weddings – mostly as a home game here in Cologne, but also wherever you celebrate.
With degrees in Audiovisual Media from the Cologne Academy of Media Arts and Diploma in Photo Engineering, we have a solid professional background that might sound technical at first. For you, however, it’s primarily a reassuring backup: we know exactly what we’re doing in every situation and every light. While we handle the photography, you can simply let go and relax.
We want to capture your day as it is – real, unpretentious, and without the clichés. We believe the best images happen when you skip the posing. A great portrait isn’t about perfect staging; it’s about honest emotion.
That’s why we don’t chase short-lived trends that often look dated a few years down the line. We focus on a timeless style with bold colors that will carry the feeling of your wedding through the decades.
Kind words from real lovers

We had Karin as our photographer and can highly recommend her. The photos turned out great – she has a real feel for those small moments that you don’t even notice yourself. On a personal level, it was a perfect fit, and our guests also gave us so much great feedback about her from all sides. Thank you so, so much!

Short version: The two are top, incredibly talented photographers and very, very nice people! We can only recommend them! If we have other photos to take, we will definitely go back to Tobi and Karin!
Now the long review:
Karin and Tobi accompanied our wedding on July 16 at Gut Hohenholz in Bedburg. The two of them took beautiful pictures – I would even say the most beautiful pictures of us that have ever been taken.
Making the appointment in advance was easy, flexible and really nice. During the introductory meeting, Tobi had some super useful tips for our wedding and basically also helped to organize our schedule ;) (THANK YOU again for that ;)).
Shortly before the wedding, we called to clarify all the important details. Here, too, there were some very useful tips – for example, how to throw the bridal bouquet before the first dance. I also thought the explanation on their homepage about the price was great. Because I didn’t realize that before.
At the wedding itself, the two photographers didn’t stand out at all. We only realized afterwards in the photos how close Tobi or Karin were to us sometimes. They were always in the right position at the right time and took really great pictures. Some guests even asked us if Tobi and Karin were friends of ours. We got on really well with them right from the start. The couple shoot wasn’t unpleasant at all either. On the contrary: we should just be who we are – and not pretend! We can also see that in the pictures now, they look totally natural, romantic, intimate and authentic.
When we met them, we told them: “Snapshots are particularly important to us. We wanted those little moments that happen at every wedding and that make the butterflies in your stomach fly again afterwards. And the two of them really managed to capture so many great moments. Now we have the problem that we can’t decide what to put in our album :D because ALL the photos are so great!
So now officially: THANK YOU SO MUCH, Tobi and Karin, FOR ALL THE GREAT PHOTOS!

"My number one tip: forget about 'the way it’s supposed to be.' Don’t let Pinterest checklists, traditions, or other people’s expectations stress you out.
Make it truly your wedding. Whether loud and wild or quiet and intimate – celebrate exactly the way you want to. Because in the end, this day is all about the two of you and sharing a great time with your loved ones. Everything else is secondary."
"I really like relaxed portraits in the evening light. But honestly, they are just the cherry on top.
What really captures me are the authentic moments in between: the chaos during getting ready, the spontaneous laughter at the bar, or when the dance floor finally explodes. These real, sometimes wild moments tell your story much more directly than any polite portrait in a park."
